• Ordinary to the Unique

The path a penny travels is unique and so are the battle scars it acquires, maybe seen by some as short of any numismatic value, those scars are still unique. From the numismatic mint state of red, to the beautiful red-browns and lastly the ordinary browns; our collection has it all.

  • Doubled Dies, RPMs & More

Mint errors and other rarities are always being hunted, while it is true that some of these attributes have value, it is hard to ignore many do not. Let us always remember, it is the bragging rights that brings the most appreciation and can often overshadow any numismatic value.

  • Destroyed to Mint State

Should we forget the character marks gathered from years of use or always apply the most value to MS65RD? It is not our mission to change the opinions or values placed on the finest and rarest examples of the highest grades, but, sometimes the destroyed do deserve an honorable showing.

About Lincoln's Penny

Lincoln's Penny was brought to life to showcase, offer for sale and even raffle the over 4,900 Lincoln Pennies collected by Hazel Sherry between 1900 and added to the collection, until her passing in August of 2001. Working in Seattle, Washington as a pharmacy cashier, Hazel collected Lincoln one cent pennies and brought them home to her young son Darrell. For over 3 years, Hazel brought home, Lincoln Pennies, and for most of their days, they remained untouched. Darrell's lack of interest in the hobby did not seem to bother Hazel and was evident in the number of pennies she collected; Lincoln’s Penny could not be happier.

Later in life, Hazel moved from Seattle, WA to be with her son in Huntington Beach, CA. Yes, she brought her Lincoln Pennies with her. Before her passing on August 2, 2001, she gave the collection to her son and asked that he honor the collection by doing something special with it. As any good son would do, he promised that he would and stored them in an attic, where they stayed, until his death on March 10, 2014.

Like Darrell, Lincoln’s Penny is not a collector. Lincoln’s Penny will follow in the footsteps of Hazel and Darrell Sherry by working hard to showcase each coin and make sure, if possible, that each coin finds a home within a great collection.
